Chirag Patel

Chirag Patel is an animal behaviour & training consultant living in London, UK, he runs Domesticated Manners. Chirag consults on training and problem behaviours in domestic and wild animals living under human care. Chirag’s passion is using applied behaviour science to improve the lives of the animals we care for.

Chirag is a consultant for many organisations including Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and The Kong Company, UK. He is also Assistant Head of Training and Behaviour for Dogs Trust, the UK's largest dog welfare charity. In 2015, Chirag was invited to join the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA), animal training focus group as the Scientific Officer and External Behaviour & Training Consultant. He has also been an invited speaker for a number of Association of British and Irish Wild Animal Keepers (ABWAK) seminars and workshops.

Chirag teaches workshops and consults with clients internationally including Saudi Arabia, US, Canada, Europe and Australia. He has a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Sciences from the Royal Veterinary College, UK and a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Lincoln, UK.
