Owners Mike and Shelley Wood have spent their careers refining and applying the scientific principles of humane animal training.
Mike Wood became a professional animal trainer more than 30 years ago working with marine mammals. He has been instrumental in the development of specialized training protocols used in “swim with dolphin” programs in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. He has successfully expanded these techniques and applied them to a wide variety of species including land mammals, birds, reptiles and even fish.
Shelley Wood has been a professional animal trainer for over 15 years. She developed the official curriculum used to teach trainers at Dolphin Discovery, a world leader in interactive animal programs. Because she enjoys teaching people as much as training animals, she has devoted her career to showing others how fun and rewarding proper training can be.
Together their goal is to make the sometimes confusing and complicated subject of animal training easy to understand and available to anyone eager to learn. Mike and Shelley are constantly striving to develop new materials and methods to help you enjoy and care for the animals under your care. |
