Special Programs for Educators & Groups
ABC Animal Training is host to a Marine Mammal Physiology field study course PSL 379 or OERS F600 given by Oceanographic Environmental Research Society in association with the University of Toronto, Canada.
This field course opportunity is unique as it allows the participants the opportunity to get up close and personal with a number of marine mammal species and experience living physiology of these remarkable creatures. OERS will be offering this as a one week trip that includes daily in the field (water!) interactions with dolphins, manatee and sea lions in a controlled yet natural environment. You will experience applied physiology and see first hand how their adaptations allow them to exist in their aquatic environment. All course materials provided, space is limited to ensure hands on experience for all participants who wish it.
For those students who want a one half university credit as PSL379 – live marine mammal field physiology; you will spend an additional week in seminars in Toronto discussing the observed physiology and preparing reports.
